Corporate Tax Compliance

6 FAQS
01 Is Corporate Tax registration mandatory for every UAE company?
Many UAE companies, including numerous mainland and free zone entities, must register for Corporate Tax even if they have no tax payable. Specific exemptions and registration rules may apply depending on the entity and its circumstances.
02 What are the UAE Corporate Tax rates?
The most common standard rate for taxable income above AED 375,000 is 9%. Special rules may apply to qualifying Free Zone persons or other categories of taxpayers.
03 What is Small Business Relief (SBR)?
Small Business Relief is an optional relief for eligible UAE resident taxable persons. Generally, a qualifying business must have revenue of AED 3 million or less in the relevant tax period and all previous tax periods, subject to the applicable conditions, eligibility, exclusions, and the latest published rules.
04 What is the difference between SBR and standard Corporate Tax filing?
Eligible businesses that elect for SBR may be treated as having no taxable income for the relevant tax period. Standard filing involves calculating taxable income after applicable adjustments, claiming deductions and reliefs, and determining the resulting tax liability.
